Peettyy peettyyy

The other morning, Sahim was rolling around in bed and telling Asghar, "Mama peeetttyyy peeettyyyy" (pretty pretty).

This morning, Sahim touched my arm & said "Peeettty peetttyyy."

Who needs further affirmation? I don't!

I share my lunch

Everyday, Sahim's playgroup teacher, Madiha, gives me a brief update about Sahim.
Today:

Sahim sat with Areej (a girl he hugged, kissed, fell on and split his lip a few weeks ago) during lunch and they fed each other. Sahim fed her his nuggets and she fed him her potato smileys. Madiha says Sahim's very close to her.

My heart just split open with delight.

Batteee Nagggeee

During our joyrides in Lahore, back and forth from PC, Anum taught Sahim traffic signal's correlation to the car movement.

A couple of weeks later, Sahim has started applying the theory to coming down the stairs. He makes us stop at each step, then says Green Battee Naggeee (translation "Green Light Goooo") in order to proceed. When asked significance of red light he holds out his hand and says "Baaa" (translation "Stop"). Asghar, who Sahim started the game with, asked him who taught him this. Sahim: "Aaaaminnaaah"

Thanks "Maana" - it was endearing to hear him learn something and then apply it.
